The Dreaded "Upload Failed" Error
Nothing is more frustrating than finishing a long application form only to be stopped at the final "Upload Documents" step. Here are the most common reasons your photo is being rejected and how to fix it.
1. File Size is Too Large (or Too Small)
Most portals have a strict KB limit (e.g., 20KB - 50KB). If your phone takes high-quality 5MB photos, the portal will reject it. You must use an Image Compressor to reduce the file size without making it blurry.
2. Wrong Dimensions (Aspect Ratio)
A passport photo is a rectangle (usually 3.5cm x 4.5cm). If you upload a square photo, the portal's automated scanner will reject it. Use a Cropping Tool to fix the aspect ratio.
3. Incorrect Format
Portals almost exclusively want .JPG or .JPEG files. If you upload a .PNG, .HEIC (from iPhones), or a .PDF, it will fail. You need a format converter.
4. Blurry or Unclear Face
If the AI scanner cannot detect your eyes and ears, it will flag the photo. Always ensure you have good lighting and are looking straight ahead.
